How we help

WHO HAVE WE HELPED

HOW WE HELP

Since 2010 we have helped many young people pursue their sporting dreams.

We have also helped many young people in need of medical treatment and equipment.

The grants we have awarded have ranged from £200 to £10,000 and we try to help as many children as we can.

We like to protect and respect the identity of the children we help so albeit we may not be able to give personal details for some of the children we have helped, rest assured that they and their families are very grateful for the support they have received.

Below you will find some specific case studies but here are just a few of the wonderful causes we have been fortunate enough to contribute towards:

  • Communication Device

Contributed over £8,000 towards the cost of an Eye Gaze Communication device for a young girl who has Retts Syndrome.

  • Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy operations

Contributed over £30,000 to various families raising funds for Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy (SDR) operations

  • Stair Lift Installation

Contributed £5,000 towards the cost of a lift being installed in a young boys home as he was too sick to use the stairs and too heavy for his family to carry.

  • Physiotherapy and Speech Therapy

Paid for many sessions of specialist physiotherapy and speech therapy for children in need of help. The illnesses that these children have (such as Chromosome disorders, Schizencephaly, Cystic Fibrosis, Cerebral Palsy, Brain Damage, etc.) mean that they need intensive and specialist help.

  • Annual Club Fees & Equipment

Paid annual club fees and provided equipment for many individual children who were in need of financial support. Sports include Swimming, Karate, Gymnastics, Ice Hockey, Athletics, Motorcycling, etc.

  • Support to 'Street to Sport' Initiatives

Supported ‘Street to Sport’ initiatives, enabling clubs to provide services to local communities. Causes helped include ‘Oxford Stars Stick and Puck’ program, ‘Thame Cricket Club’ cricket summer school, Portable goals for ‘Thame Football Partnership’ and ‘Slough Junior Jets’ learn to play initiative.
